Group > Current Special Alerts Special Alert 1 Some insurers are refusing to pay otherwise covered claims because they are telling the consumer that they waited too long to either:
These insurers say that if a claim was not made by January 16, 1995 (one year after the initial major Northridge Earthquake shock), then they won't pay for any damage. They tell their insureds that the policy(ies) and the judicial decisions in California, which have interpreted what the words in the policy(ies) mean, say this. They give substantially the same reasons for denying supplementary payments, if they weren't claimed until a year or so (sometimes less) after the initial payments were made. In many such cases, the insurers wrong. If you or anyone you know has had a claim denied for this reason, in whole or in part, contact PBG or a properly qualified Public Adjuster or attorney without delay. Time is on the insurer's side. (As a great sports commentator once put it: "If you snooze - you lose.") The insurance companies know it and will not hesitate to deny your claim if you wait one day too long. Contact us. Special Alert 2 If you own or are involved with a property that was damaged, an insurance claim was made, a settlement was reached and/or repairs have been completed, you may still be entitled to substantial additional sums. No one wins but the insurance company if you wait. Investigate this possibility. If you wait too long you could lose this money for no other reason than your procrastination. Contact us.
